Architecture Assignment

For this assignment, the goal was to take pictures of different architectural items in our community. I decided to take pictures of the amazing architecture of Saline High School. I was able to find several areas within the school that were well worth taking pictures of.

Assignment 2- Nature

This photography assignment asked us to take pictures of items in nature.  It allowed us to explore the outdoors and enjoy the beauty of all things natural.  During the fall season, everything is changing and I wanted to take pictures that helped to showcase these changes.

Event Assignment

The photos that will be viewed in this posting are pictures of a trip that I took with my classmates to the Saline Fire Station on October 8, 2010. During this assignment, I was asked to take pictures of things that would help to tell a story of the trip. I wanted to make sure that there were a variety of different types of pictures to illustrate the many aspects of the fire house.

Gimp Assignment 1

This assignment was designed to introduce Gimp. Through the assignment I learned how to add color to a picture, resize a photo, and use several other tools through the Gimp program.

Composition Assignment

This assignment was made to help introduce different styles of photography.  Through the assignment we learned how to take photographs in ways that accentuate certain aspects of the photo whether it is color, shape or perspective.  A good photograph must contain one or more of the elements from the assignments in order for it to be successful.
